Well my sweet girl is hungry again so I will do an update for October and post pictures hopefully tonight when the kiddos are in bed, so here we go.
It has been a busy month around here lots to do at the begininging of the month a flyer came home from Kaylas school, announcing the annual open house at the fire station. October is fire safety moth so it coincides with that. Kayla claims to be the family expert on fire safety. They have balloons for the kids, scones which I found out they buy 90 pounds of scone dough for. The kids learned about safe water temperatures, and got a bath thermometer that tells us if there bath water is ok. They can dress up as firefighters my girls didn't they said it was to heavy. The highlight of the night is a ride around the block on the firetruck. Last year Kayla sat up front and got to turn on the siren, this year Hailey got too so she was excited about that. Also they have a ride where you crash into eachother to simulate a car crash, for reason Kayla enjoys that. They also have a life flight helicoper you can see but we got there to late this year. Michaels mom recently moved back here from Colorado after having a stroke she decided she wanted to be where her kids and grandkids are so we invited her and Michaels sister and there kids over for dinner on Sunday the tenth. She enjoyed meeting her new granddaughter. On friday the 15th we met them at the pumpkin patch and had the kids pick out there pumpkins to carve. Then they played in the hay maze for awhile. Last night they looked on line with daddy and picked the patteren for there pumpkins. They then cleanedthem out which they said was yucky. Then daddy spent individual time with each kid and helped them carve there pumpkin. I made dinner and took care of the baby. Tonight is my nieces first band concert she plays the trumpet so we are excited to see her do that. Tomorrow is the pumpkin walk in centerville which is why we carved pumpkins last night. Also this month we spent a day in Logan doing that pumkin walk and having yummy chili for dinner, and cupcakes for dessert, we were celebrating Julianne and Spencers birthdays. This month for girls night we decided to check out the witches at Gardner Villiage. It was fun I strapped the baby to me in the moby wrap and she slept the whole time. It was fun. They had a scavenger hunt online so Carolee printed it out and you had to find the witch that fit the description. Example find the witch doing the cannon ball. We also took a hay ride to the swamp where we toured a house and a backyard of a couple witches it was fun. Afterward we went to Villiage Inn for dinner. I love our girls nights we miss you Nicole. I will call it done for now and will post pictures hopefully tonight.

Porter Family Update
So I just found out that Michael posted some pictures last night so I will just type an update of the last year at least the highlights. Our Michayla started first grade this year and is doing well she is right where she should be academically and really likes going for a whole day. Mommy likes that too because it makes my life a little easier dealing with 3 kids instead of 4. She is learning to read and gets excited now when she can read a book with a little help. She has to do this on her own though if I ask her to read something usually she won't, I am afraid we have a bit of a daddys girl he is not much for reading either. Hailey is in preschool 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours and she is going with her best friend which both of them are really excited about hopefully they are making other friends too. She has the same teacher as she did last year and just loves her. Yesterday the babies and I went with her to the firestation on a field trip it was a lot of fun, I learned something new about fire safety when you stop, drop and roll you are supposed to cover your face. Both her and Kayla love being the big sisters and help really good when they want too. Jaydon is 21 months old and is on the go and very close to walking, he has been a little slow developmentaly so he has therapy twice a month to help build his gross motor skills. He keeps me extremely busy. He is into everything disgusting the garbage, recycle bin and best of all the toilet, I don't know how many times I tell the girls to shut the door after they use the bathroom. He is a joy however and loves his mommy. Rachel is 7 weeks old and is very needy right now so needless to say my poor house, it is all I can do to take care of my kids and get a few things done here and there. I am working on just calliong the day a success if one room gets clean and dinner gets made. I love being a mom but it is definately a challenge. Michael just started school at university of Phoenix a couple f weeks ago, the military is paying his full tuition and paying us for him to go I am just hoping he has figured out what he wants to be when he grows up. Well I better go see what my son is up too. I promise to be better about blogging.

A new beginning

All right people. My apologies for not keeping up with the blogs. So over a year later and we have a new addition to our family. Our precious Rachel Gayle Porter was born on August 21, 2010, 7.6 pounds and 21 inches long. We were not expecting this as when we found Kristina was pregnant she was already five months along. So say the least we were shocked especially she had finished radiation the middle of November. Jaydon was not sure what to think but has gotten use to her as she is "my baby". The girls love and adore her.
